The Vico Workbee Pro Series CNC Machine
This machine offers users professional work. It is our flagship CNC machine, and we have developed and designed it from the ground up. The WorkBee Pro Series CNC is capable of accurately cutting foams, woods, plastics, aluminium, glass, and acrylics at depths greater than 25mm with an accuracy of 0.1mm or better. With this kit, you will be able to manufacture various products ranging from machine parts, toys, figurines, models, and signs. To be truthful, you can make anything you can imagine or whatever your heart desires without leaving the workshop.
Structure of the machine
The WorkBee Pro Series CNC takes full advantage of the V-Slot Extrusion System. Both on the X and Y axis, C-Beam Extrusions are used. This type of extrusion allows the drive system to be veiled from debris during the machine is in operation. Both type of drive systems are run within the ’C’ channel which are facing outwards; therefore, protected from the cutting area.
The Vico WorkBee Pro Series CNC uses Xtreme Solid V Wheels which are moulded from hardened – rigid polycarbonate thermoplastic. The plates which are the most important components that build up the Vico WorkBee Pro CNC Machine are anodised to protect them from light scratches during assembly. Also, it protects the aluminium from oxidation.
The structure of the machine can be adjusted freely according to the customers’ requirements. The Z-Height can be adjusted along with the vertical position of the X-Axis

(We can however cut the aluminium profiles and the screw drive to any size to fit the requirements of the customer.)
Drive System
The WorkBee Pro Series CNC machine can be assembled using 2 types of drive system. The first being Screw Drive. This uses a lead screw to make the axis move along the C-Beam. The Lead Screw has its own block which is secured onto the plates. The fit between the screw and block is snug and secure thus allowing high precision during operation. This type of drive allows the user to tune the precision to 0.1mm or better. This type of drive allows the user to be able to use this machine to work on tougher materials.
On the other hand, there is also the Belt Drive system which uses a stronger type of rubber belt. In this type of drive system, the stepper motors are mounted on the side of the Y-axis plates and the rubber belt is secured onto the aluminium profile. This means that the stepper motor moves along with the X-axis. The Belt Drive offers a precision of around 0.2mm however the movement is a lot smoother which allows the router to make finer cuts into the material.
The Stepper motors are an option for the customer, but as the frame size increases, we recommend our higher torqued model, Nema23 345oz 3.0A instead of its ’little brother’ the Nema23 175oz 2.8A.
Extras
Motion Controllers
Currently we offer the Vico WorkBee Pro CNC machine with 4 Motion Controllers. We have 2 High-End Controllers, 1 Dedicated Professional Controller and 1 Entry Level Controller.
The higher we have graded these controllers, the better they are. This is because they offer more flexibility with the control software, connections, and ease of use.
AXBB-E is our most professional dedicated motion controller which we offer with our machines. This has been recognised by professional users to be an excellent motion controller to use even in industrial applications. This is a breakout board and motion controller combo which allows the user to have a clearer controller box next to their machine. This controller can operate using Wired or Wireless connections between itself and a computer. This controller can be used with Mach3, Mach4 and its own software UCCNC. It is guaranteed to work with these softwares.
Router & Mount
As standard, the WorkBee Pro Series CNC Machine does not come with a router or a mount. This is an optional extra for the customer to choose. We do however offer these machines with the following routers:
